The fully automatic separation of the basic anatomical entities within the human brain is considered critical both for initial semantic annotation as well as for image enhancement, i.e. bias field correction and intensity standardization. This project’s efforts aim in developing an efficient system for effective Cerebral Whiter Matter, Cerebral Gray Matter, and Cerebral Spinal Fluid segmentation in (multi-spectral) 3-D MR brain scans.
