Dr.-Ing. Benjamin Keck

Alumnus of the Pattern Recognition Lab of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg

Just be faster

After highschool graduation in 2001 Benjamin enrolled in the Mathematics concerning on Computer Science program at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. During this time Benjamin was a working student at several Siemens AG branches and co-founded a company (SDN). In January 2005 Benjamin received his Bachelor of Science degree after he has finished his Bachelor Thesis on Filtered Backprojection using Fixed Point Arithmetics.
In 2005 he resigned from his company to focus on the International Masters Program in Computational Engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and the research as a student assistant at the LME. During 2006 Benjamin participated in the Moscow-Bavarian Joint Advanced Student School in Moscow and was invited to the IBM Top Student Event. Starting in October 2006 Benjamin was a student at Stanford University (California, USA) accomplishing his Masters' degree.
Since May 2007 Benjamin is a PhD student at the LME focussing on hardware acceleration in medical image processing. His work is financed by Siemens Medical Solutions.

Benjamin is a member of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft e.V. and the International Society for Optical Engineering. Since 1998 he is also a volunteering firefighter (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Weinzierlein) at his home town.
