Beyond ResearchIn 2010, I founded the Metrilus GmbH together with my colleagues Christian Schaller and Simon Placht. Our focus lies on software and especially tailored algorithms for real-time 3-D imaging using technologies such as Time-Of-Flight (ToF) cameras and structured light. We support a broad spectrum of sensors and cameras from all major manufacturers such as Photonic (C- and D-Series), PMD Technologies (CamCube, CamBoard), ifm (O3D), Mesa Imaging (SwissRanger 3000 and SwissRanger 4000), Asus (Xtion) and Microsoft (Kinect). Furthermore, we have a lot of experience in mixing cameras and modalities and calibrating camera optics and complex multi-camera setups. We developed a fully .Net-based software framework that supports all these modalities, contains lots of tailored algorithms for various real time 3-D imaging tasks and also offers support for traditional 3-D imaging modalities such as light section / laser triangulation.
