Beyond Research

In 2010, I founded the Metrilus GmbH together with my colleagues Christian Schaller and Simon Placht

Our focus lies on Opens external link in new windowsoftware and especially tailored algorithms for real-time 3-D imaging using technologies such as Opens external link in new windowTime-Of-Flight (ToF) cameras and Opens external link in new windowstructured light. We support a broad spectrum of sensors and cameras from all major manufacturers such as Opens external link in new windowPhotonic (C- and D-Series), Opens external link in new windowPMD Technologies (CamCube, CamBoard), Opens external link in new windowifm (O3D), Opens external link in new windowMesa Imaging (SwissRanger 3000 and SwissRanger 4000), Opens external link in new windowAsus (Xtion) and Opens external link in new windowMicrosoft (Kinect).

Furthermore, we have a lot of experience in mixing cameras and modalities and calibrating camera optics and complex multi-camera setups.

We developed a fully .Net-based software framework that supports all these modalities, contains lots of tailored algorithms for various real time 3-D imaging tasks and also offers support for traditional 3-D imaging modalities such as Opens external link in new windowlight section / laser triangulation.
