Matthias Utzschneider M. Sc.Researcher in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) group at the Pattern Recognition Lab of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-NürnbergProject
The imaging of 23Na with MRI became more feasible recently for reasearch and applications with the developement of ultra-highfield MR-Systems. 23Na-MRI faces challenges due to the low NMR sensitivity of 23Na and the low in-vivo concentration. The developement of adapted aquisition sequences and image reconstruction techniques are necessary to achieve an applicable image quality. Iterative Compressed Sensing reconstruction improved the imaging results for 23Na significantly with the drawback of a high image-reconstruction time.
The goal of this project is the acceleration and improvement of a dictionary-learning compressed sensing approach. This project is in cooperation with the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen. Contact
