Curriculum Vitae

Bjoern Eskofier studied Electrical Engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. In his Master thesis he enhanced a system for the subjective assessment of video quality. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Calgary in 2010 for his research work on 'Application of Pattern Recognition Methods in Biomechanics'. Afterwards he worked as a freelancing classification software developer for the adidas AG. Since February 2011 he is assistant professor for Computer Science in Sports and head of the Digital Sports Group at the Pattern Recognition Lab.
